Effects of Different Trace Elements on Ecophysiological Characteristics of Ligustrum obtusifolium Saplings

Phytoremediation is becoming more prevalent globally. Literature on phytoremediation strategies in western China relatively scarce. The present research sought to fill this gap by examining the effects of trace elements such as Cd, Cr, Pb, and Zn growth, physiological traits, tolerances, accumulation characteristics 2-year-old saplings Ligustrum obtusifolium. gradient element concentration was determined adding exogenous soil a pot experiment: CK (no element), T1, T2, T3 (Cd 0, 2, 5, 10 mg/kg; Cr 300, 500, 700 Pb 400, 800, 1200 1000 mg/kg, respectively). results indicated that Chla, Chlb, total Chls significantly decreased (p < 0.05) leaves L. obtusifolium, with lowest value obtained during treatment T3.
